THE PITCH
A SpinStream NFArtifact is a portable release object: one specific artifact tied to one specific work,
creator, moment, media package, and proof context. Think of an Artifact Identification Number, or AIN, as
a VIN-like identity layer for creative work. A car has a VIN and an outside registry record; a SpinStream
gives a creative release a sealed artifact identity that travels with the work itself. Unlike a certificate that
sits outside the work, the artifact carries its own proof context inside the release object - media, metadata,
proof fingerprints, and a shareable URL. It is not an NFT by default, and it does not require a wallet,
marketplace, special reader, or platform dependency. If the creator chooses the blockchain tier, the same
artifact can become blockchain-referenced with hashes, transaction records, and ledger evidence.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR NFT CREDIBILITY
A common NFT problem is simple: what exactly is the token pointing to? Research has documented fragility in
NFT-to-asset connections when tokens point outward to off-chain assets. SpinStream reverses that order: the
artifact comes first, already organized with its media, context, AIN, and proof. An optional NFT or blockchain
layer can then reference a fuller artifact rather than a loose file or fragile metadata trail.
